Providing Global Exposure to Students

Offering international dual-degree programs in collaboration with the State University of New York, Buffalo, U.S.A.

MBA/MS Dual Degree

A fully-residential two-year program with Amrita and SUNY, Buffalo faculty teaching classes. Students also spend upto four weeks in the SUNY campus in U.S.A.

The School of Business at Bengaluru campus offers two management programs -- a full-time MBA-MS and a part-time Executive MBA-MS.

Both dual-degree programs are offered in collaboration with the School of Management at State University of New York, Buffalo, USA.

Among the four Amrita campuses Bengaluru is the only campus that offers this unique program. While this is a residential program, students who are residents of Bangalore may choose not to avail of hostel facility of the university.

  1. Faculty from both Amrita and SUNY, Buffalo teach students. International faculty from SUNY visit our campus and stay here, teaching students. This face-to-face interaction provides students a rich exposure.
  2. Students visit the SUNY campus in New York for 3 to 4 weeks as part of their academic exercise. They attend a full course, visit industries around New York and have a cross cultural engagement.
  3. The global exposure, only available to students at Amrita's Bengaluru campus, makes for a marked change in student attitudes and outlook.
  4. The cost of the program is competitive when compared to the best B-Schools in Bangaluru and elsewhere in India.

December 5, 2012

The splendid evening of 5th December 2012 turned out to be a memorable day in the hearts of every ASBian , as the Bengaluru campus celebrated the kick off ceremony of its first management fest AYKYA to be held on February 8th and 9th 2012. The ceremony was once again; a testimony to the potential of the students of management. The ceremony opened with a surprise ‘flash mob’ by the students dancing to the tunes of ‘Jai Ho’ and ‘Kolaveri’; that drew the attention of the campus and the crowd of engineering students present there. The flash mob ended with a physical formation of the AYKYA logo, highlighting the unity and enthusiasm of the students of ASB.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp and unveiling of the AYKYA logo by Dhanraj Swamiji along with ASE dean Dr.Nagaraj in the presence of faculty and students, followed by a small delivery by the dignitaries, who lauded the efforts of the ASB students wishing them success for the future and for the blessings of AMMA. The ceremony proceeded with addressing the theme of AYKYA on ‘urban issues’ and waste management and its relevance to the fest, signifying the spirit of every Amrita student and holding it as a joint effort to support the awareness of the issues by communicating across all campuses. The ceremony ended with a 10 minute clean up of the wastes around the campus as part of the theme, to connect with what it represents to the society.

Overall the evening was a fuse of excitement enthusiasm and hard work that culminated in bringing the best of the management students who toiled through many chaotic obstacles and constraints to ensure the success of the ceremony.
