Message from the Director
The students of Amrita Schools of Business are privileged to be taught and guided by highly qualified faculty with international exposure. They also come in contact with eminent personalities who visit the campus for colloquia, and their wealth of knowledge and experience leave an indelible impression in the minds of these young men and women. The ambience that the Institution provides is most conducive to one's learning and personal growth. We invite corporates who are keen to take on board, brilliant, hard-working, committed and focused business graduates, who will not only perform to the complete satisfaction of their employers but also set high standards in commitment and dedication to their profession.
The year 2010-11 has been a very satisfying year in terms of quality and number of placements. We started with the Procter & Gamble Division of Khimji Ramdas, Muscat, and this was followed by NOMURA of Japan, Irevna, Payoda, Asian Paints, Castrol, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Future Group, L&T Infotech, UAE Exchange, ICICI Securities, HCL Infosystems, HDFC Bank, Havells, Wipro, Thomas Cook, Philips, Beroe, Dexterity, Cognizant Technologies, Blue Star, ICICI Prudential, TAFE, Bajaj Capital, TCS e-serve, Tally Solutions, GroupM, Sundaram Finance, Bank of Baroda, Mahindra Finance and Coca Cola. Many more companies are in the pipeline which will facilitate more career options to the students.
The success has come through a lot of planning and hard-work put in by the students to improve their soft-skills and general awareness, beyond academics. Practising professionals from industry are invited to interact with the students on a regular basis so that they are familiar with corporate expectations and there are no surprises when they face companies that come to hire them. Our impressive list of alumni, who are doing very well in the corporate world, are testimony to the quality of our students who come out after two years of grind that leave them highly charged yet refined and very well groomed. We, at Amrita, take pride in the fact that wherever our students have gone, they have brought laurels to the Institution, to themselves and, above all, to the organization that has reposed their faith in them.
